Residential Standard Swing Hangers
For tire swings, see the next section.
These swing hangers bolt onto the underside of wooden play structures' horizontal beams, and you hang swing chains from them. For each swing, you'll need two hangers (one hanger per chain). To attach the swing chain to the swing hanger, you'll need a swing chain fastener -- unless you choose the E-Z Hang, which has a built-in pendulum that opens.

Residential Tire Swing Hangers & Hardware

Residential Swing Chain Fasteners
These swing chain fasteners connect the swing chains to the swing hanger on the structure, and to the swing seat below. There are 4 options: the H-Shackle, the Clevis, the S-Hook, or the Spring Loaded Connector Clip.

• The H-Shackle is the sturdiest choice, and it's easy to open (using the Allen wrench).
• The Clevis is sturdy, but only opens on one end. Also requires the Allen wrench.
• The S-Hooks are tough but require an expensive opener (see below).
• The Spring Loaded Connector Clip is the easiest option but not the strongest.
